Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy

What is Ketamine?

Ketamine Psychoactive drug that has been used for medical purposes for decades.  More recently Ketamine has gained popularity as a mental health intervention, most commonly used to help with depression, but also used for other mental health problems as well.  Ketamine can offer some folks immediate temporary relief from mental health issues, and can have an accumulative affect over time.

What is Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)?

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy uses Ketamine in conjunction with talk therapy to help support the therapy process.  Although Ketamine administered by a trained medical profession has the potential to have some positive affect on its own, coupling therapeutic Ketamine with Psychotherapy can be a powerful tool for inner exploration, integration, and healing.

How to get started?

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about KAP, and I am happy to speak with you more.  If you decide to go down this path, we will start with some forms to learn more about you, and a couple introductory talk therapy sessions to make sure KAP is right for you, and to prepare you for the first session.  We will also have you see a medical professional who will see if Ketamine is right for you, and write you a prescription for the medication if it is appropriate.  When all those steps have been taken we can embark on a first KAP session.

If you want to learn more about KAP please feel free to contact me directly or check out these resources below.
